The PCM Multiplexer is consists of chassis, power card, main control cross card and service card. Chassis is 2U high design, it realize signal interconnection between the power card, main control cross card and service card. Device total has 10 card slots, including 2 hot backup power card slot, 2 main back up control cross card Slot, 6 universal service card slot.
The platform has the following characteristics:
Dual power protection: AC+DC 2 power supply card is optional, providing 1 + 1 hot backup, optional DC-48V or AC220V power card.
Dual main control card protection: optional 2 main control card, providing 1 +1 backup protection.
Transmission diversification: optional IP line, E1 line, fiber or STM-1/4 line.
Multi-link protection: optional dual-link or multi-link automatic protection, a variety of protection mode optional.
Service data type: optional FXO / FXS, 2/4 wire E & M, asynchronous / synchronous RS232, asynchronous / synchronous RS422, RS485, 10 / 100BASE-T, V.21 / V.22, V.24, V.34 , Switch, CAN bus, magnet phone, hotline, V.35, G.703 co-directional 64k and other service card.
Service data port protection: optional any 2 service data port automatic protection
Centralized monitoring system: optional network management functions, automatically load the entire network equipment configuration information, you can configure the port parameters, self-loop detection and other functions.

The voice interface card can be plugged into any service card slot, with a DB37 connector; can connect with 1 to 16 channel analog telephone signals, realized analog telephone signal end-to-end communication.
Voice card can choose loop relay interface / FXO, analog user line interface / FXS, magnet phone interface, hotline telephone interface, support different types of interface mix.

Application
The PCM-MS08 is designed to provide multi-service access and transport services for edge users, It can handle Ethernet, data, voice services and various network technologies in a single compact managed node. Through IP line, E1 line, STM- 1/4 line or self-built fiber cable, to achieve communication transmission function.
When choose IP transmission, all the service signals can be connected to the PCM-MS08 for unified scheduling, and the important service priorities can be set to ensure that each service signal has stable bandwidth, which does not affect each other and ensures the stable and reliable transmission for important services.
Some product in the market, through the IP transmission, cannot avoid the Ethernet transmission delay, jitter and packet loss problems, making the user hear the voice will appear incoherent, delay or even interrupt phenomenon, can not make sure the quality guarantee for the service which similar to VHF voice communication. PCM-MS08 optimized for the above problems, IP link interface support the transmission delay optimization, jitter buffer absorption, anti-packet loss and other functions to improve the stability of transmission and reliability, to solve the VHF voice communication incoherent, delay or even interrupted problem.
PCM-MS08 can provide standard STM-1 / STM-4 link interface, SDH equipment as SDH self-healing ring, you can also access the operator STM-1 / STM-4 line, to achieve a wide range of business transmission.
PCM-MS08 can choose dual-link automatic protection switch, access to the user to provide two-channel transmission link, when the main link failure automatically switch to the backup link transmission, to protect the important business reliability transmission.
2.2.1IP-based transmission of integrated business data
Note: PCM-MS08 can rent the operator’s IP line, using router or switch, to realize IP network interconnected of across Ethernet segments, or via wireless bridge to realize IP network interconnected.
Currently on the market, part of the transmission routing (such as: wireless bridge), the transmission bandwidth change with the Ethernet packet length or the introduction
Larger package delay jitter. When the PCM-MS08 is used in conjunction with a different wireless bridge, it may be necessary to adjust the jitter to collect the buffer size parameter to get the best transfer effect.
